Burbank; Steps to a Healthier You!
This year we are happy to announce our new
walking program. This will take the place of our Lose Big program.
We are
calling all teams and their team captains! In the next few weeks you will be
invited to go onto Walkertracker.com and register and compete on this awesome
website that will track our teams as we accumulate steps and walk across the
country. Each person will have their own portal where they can log in their
daily steps (yep we are back to wearing pedometers and we are wearing them all
day long!!) You can also participate in fitness activities like Zumba, yoga and
spinning classes and in your portal page they will get convert them into walking
steps. Then in the main page we can watch and teams go head to head to make mile
markers; the goal of this competition is of course to work and walk together to
reach Burbank, CA but more importantly work on increasing our daily activity
levels.
More information will be coming out shortly; this event will run from
Sunday, April 1st – Sunday, May 27th.
Our portal will be
for all teams to start registering on March 16th. The fee to
participate this year will remain at $10.00 per person and pedometers will be
available through our council.
